I still have not played Alien Isolation but I did watch markiplier back in the day go 75% through the game, then stopped to avoid the ending spoiler. If you are unsure about a game that might be ported, I'd say just avoid watching gameplay vids or stop before the last few parts. I just bought this and might give it a go. If they are not using cross OS tools to build the game might take them longer to port it using a wrapper or rebuilding it in different tools. Quoting: namikoOk, I have to comment about something that's been bothering me. I'm very disappointed, but do hope that the sequel to Kindergarten *will* have a day-1 Linux port, because I would not hesitate to buy it. Not saying this is typical of Linux gamers, but it could be one possibility to explain some of the reasons why Linux sales on a new release can be lower than expected.Ī day-1 release is preferable because then people won't get spoiled elsewhere and decide not to buy. So, ultimately, I won't be buying Kindergarten, because I had enough time to spoil myself on the plot with YouTube. It's happened before too, for Scanner Sombre. This is especially bad when the game is quirky, interesting and has an actual plot, like Kindergarten.

But, the moment I see that there's plans for Linux on a new game that Jack's currently playing (because he plays on Windows), I stop watching the playthrough and make plans to buy the game instead (wishlist on Steam and such).īecase Kindergarten's Linux release came later than the Windows release, I ended up watching Jack's entire playthrough of that game. I watch to spot new and interesting games on the horizon, as well as enjoying the commentary. I watch Jacksepticeye, who is a YouTube gamer who is known for (mostly) complete video game playthroughs. Ok, I have to comment about something that's been bothering me. It’s up to you to figure out what’s going on, because your life might depend on it. Kids are walking around with strange devices planted on them after visiting the principal, and one of your fellow classmates has gone missing. The cafeteria is serving the same slop over and over again. the janitor is frequently seen cleaning up blood. The teacher is trying to get rid of her kids. You play as a student in a school that’s a bit…off. QuoteKindergarten is an abstract puzzle adventure game. For £3.99 it's not exactly expensive (to me) and the " Overwhelmingly Positive" Steam reviews paint a good picture. I will probably be picking up a copy as it sounds amusing. While we aren't a huge market compared to Windows, hopefully they will be a little surprised with the amount of sales the end up getting after a while. The developer posted a friendly joke on Twitter about them getting their first Linux sale, with them saying "The first of dozens". Just stop.YouTube videos require cookies, you must accept their cookies to view. I started helping because not even landfall can keep you guys calm. Death threats, Insults and they all discourage me. I stopped helping in here and started helping in my own group because i have been threatened time and time again. Stop being ridiculous and start supporting the devs more. In the end of my speech, You all pre-ordered Clustertruck for Clustertruck, not for TABS all time access. It is essentially a very effective way of trusting a very small group and still getting testing done. Which is something they can't do with most testers. They benefit from the coverage but it is also valuable as playtesting to watch youtubers play. What they send out as a Closed Alpha is content that is not ready to be mass tested but can still be shown. One way of doing this is sending it to people who make a majority of their living trough their youtube, or Twitch. It lead to leaks and malware being spread When they are sending out closed alpha keys they are looking to trust the people they send to. They were super open with the closed alpha this summer. Can't you all patiently wait for the best version? Hell, they might even cancel the game because of you guys. Anyone who begs are really greedy to be honest. It is completely ridiculous how this community has grown from a nice community of patient waiters to Beggars and demanders. If they release the closed alpha, people will continue begging if they add a new update. What if they do release the closed alpha? People will want more and beg for more. They never said TABS was going to be an all time access. You should have expected this all of you. I find it stupid that you all pre-order an amazing game called Clustertruck just for an early access of Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. Right? They didn't guarantee a fulltime access. You pre-order clustertruck for Clustertruck, not just for TABS.
